I work around finance and keep company with a few old interests.
Mathematics has been one of them for many years. Computer science came after. AI belongs here too, not as a banner, but as part of my daily reading and study.
Position
Most days are plain enough: work to do, books to read, weather to notice.
Work has to do with numbers, structure, and the patient business of getting things right. There is a steadiness in that which I value.
Outside of work, I keep returning to mathematics, computer science, and philosophy. They sit quietly in the day, like a lamp on the desk or a tree outside the window.

Mathematics, computer science, and AI are not far away. They return often, like familiar paths.

Film, games, books, and music keep the days from becoming too dry. They let a little weather into the room.
